This session will focus on some of the unique disaster risks faced by arts and cultural organizations, whether they are part of cultural heritage entities, or their own independent facility. We’ll explore vulnerabilities in these sectors, see how these organizations are networking for emergency preparedness and response, and discover resources available to help the arts and cultural communities.

The session will be presented by Tom Clareson. Tom is Project Director of the Performing Arts Readiness project, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to help performing arts organizations nationwide learn how to protect their assets, sustain operations, and be prepared for emergencies.
