Kohler Ronan is a multi-disciplined engineering consultancy providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology design, along with energy analysis, sustainable design, and commissioning services. From offices in Danbury, CT, and New York, NY, our 70+ professionals collaborate with leading architects on regional and nationally recognized projects. Our portfolio spans cultural and academic institutions as well as historically significant buildings across the country.

Founded in 1998, the firm’s seven partners bring nearly 200 years of combined experience. Kohler Ronan is recognized for its innovative approach to sustainable design, with nearly 20 LEED Accredited Professionals on staff and a growing portfolio of net-zero, net-zero-ready, and high-performance building projects. One partner also holds WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador, Living Future, and Certified Passive House Designer credentials. The firm is a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.

We are approved Technical Consultants under NYSERDA’s Commercial New Construction and FlexTech programs and Connecticut’s Energize CT initiative, providing energy modeling and commissioning to help clients improve efficiency and access incentives. Kohler Ronan is also a signatory of the Carbon Leadership Forum’s MEP 2040 Challenge.
