Report from State Historical Administrators
The yearly State Historical Administrators Meeting, convened through AASLH, met virtually in April. NCPH Poster Session
NCPH is now accepting submissions for their poster session at the upcoming AASLH Annual Meeting. The poster session format is an excellent forum for sharing visual or material evidence, engaging in one-on-one discussions about your project, and soliciting feedback about works-in-progress. It’s also a great, low-pressure way to participate in a conference for the first time. Learn more and submit your poster on the NCPH website.Read more.

Call for Articles and Book Proposals

AASLH is continually seeking new voices to share their perspectives and expertise through our magazine and book series. AASLH publications connect the people engaged in history work to new questions, ideas, perspectives, and each other. By featuring current issues, trends, and best practices from throughout the history community, our books and magazine inform, inspire, challenge, and link together those who preserve and interpret the past. We’ve recently published books on house museums, interpreting women’s history, working as a history consultant, and more. Submit article abstracts and book ideas on our Submittable page.

Military History Volunteers
AASLH’s Military History Affinity Committee is looking for a few new members. The Committee provides advice and direction for the development of programs and services that benefit U.S. history institutions with a military focus as well as museums/historic sites with military items in their collections.
