Who can Volunteer?
Students, emerging professionals, or professionals who work at small museums, furloughed museum professionals, laid off museum professionals, and those cannot afford to attend the conference because of a limited budget may apply to be volunteers.
MAAM selects volunteers on a first-come, first-serve basis to fill specific positions. We try to represent as many of the graduate programs in the region as possible among our conference volunteers.
The Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums evaluates and selects all applicants.
What benefits do I receive as a volunteer?
MAAM provides free registration to volunteers. One-day volunteers are required to work 2 shifts. Full-conference volunteers must work 4 shifts total.
