Nemours Estate, established in 1910 by Alfred I. duPont and his family, shares a campus and a legacy with the adjacent Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. Operating as an historic home, public garden, and arboretum, the Estate focuses its programmatic efforts on being a welcoming venue of wellbeing for all guests. Its person-centered staff engages public visitors as well as hospital patients, patient families, and hospital employees with the Estate’s resources six days a week from April 1st through December 30th each year. In 2027, Nemours Estate will celebrate its 50th anniversary of being open to the public with special tours and events.
