Museum Workers Advocacy Day 2026: Broadening Our Horizons is a free, virtual event taking place April 9–10, 2026, designed to bring museum, library, archive, and cultural sector workers together to connect, learn, and engage in advocacy around the challenges our field currently faces.
The two-day program features ten sessions covering topics such as workplace organizing, self-advocacy for neurodivergent professionals, community care, personal branding, and the role of staff visibility in public advocacy. Attendees can also connect with peers through dedicated networking times, such as a morning coffee meet-up and an evening social hour
Speakers include museum educators, labor organizers, attorneys, marketing strategists, and community advocates. Sessions are designed for museum workers at all stages of their careers and focus on supporting emerging museum professionals while encouraging allyship across the field.
